About Cambodia
Cambodia is a South-East Asian nation. The population size is around 13,329,000 with about 30% of the population living below the poverty line.
Most of the population is living in rural farming areas far away from cities. This causes malnutrition in dry seasons and hinders access to education and health care systems. Child mortality is estimated to be around 10% for children under 1 year. Hospitals receive their equipment by donations from medical companies. However, often machines are not maintained propertly and fail prior to their life expecancy.
