Our day started wiht some more breakfast cooked by our lovely homestay family. However, this day i discovered a new sauce on the table. Maggi!!!! Who would have thought they use it in Cambodia?

For everyone who doesn't know Maggi: Maggi is a sauce used to flavour food. It is quite salty and a very common household item in Germany.

During the day we had our Khmer lessons and talked a bit more about what we will be doing during the second month of the program as well as to which hospitals we were allocated. The hosital I will be going to is quite close to the capital Phnom Penh.

In the evening we met some of the Biomed teachers from the University. They are playing soccer every Wednesday night and invited us to come along. Turns out, Cambodian men really know how to play soccer and it was an interesting match. At some point they had mixed teams, Australian and Cambodian playing in one team together, at another it was Australia vs. Cambodia. The evening was very nice and we all had a lot of fun playing soccer and/or watching the match.

On our way to the soccer field earlier in the day we walked past a construction site. They have very little health and safety regulations O.O

We used Maggi to make our food more tasty!

That's how the bottle looks in a close up. It looks a bit different than in Germany.

On the way home from University we managed to fit 7 pepole in a tuk tuk. It somehow worked xD

This is the construcion site we walked past. Seems very dangerous to work here.
