The BMET students that joined us today are really nice. We met them before in the group work at the University. They will stay with us this and next week.

I pretty much spent most of the day going through a machine that tests the Sodium, Potassium and Chloride content of blood. The laboratory of the hospital has the machine but does not fully understand on how to use it. The have similar machines that they use very frequently, but this machine was a little bit different. Their main problem was that the Unser manual is in English and they can’t read English good enough to understand the manual. They can speak English very well, but can’t write or read it at all.

Hence, I spent a lot of time ready through the manual in detail. I was able to answer every question and demonstrate correct usage and maintenance at the end. The nurses were very happy and thankful at the end.
