Day 1: Arrival in Phnom Penh

Finaly I have arrived in Phnom Penh. The adventure can begin!!!

When I left the airport I was greeted by my friendly tuk tuk driver and got taken to my hostel.

Tuk tuks are everywhere on the roads. It's a good and efficient way to travel. Definately faster than by car.

Driving through the roads in the tuk tuk was an adventure by itself. To my surprise, the cars drive on the right lane. There are lane markings on the road but in general they are ignored. Hence two lanes are normaly shared by 3 tuk tuk drivers or about 5 motor bikes. Nobody uses their indicator and people randomly take turns or cross the street. Traffic in general is a big mess but somehow works. O.o

I'm now at the hostel and will rest a bit. More pictures and posts tomorrow!! ^.^
