Today was an amazing day. After a refreshing swim in the pool and an amazing cup of coffee at the hostel, I met a really nice girl from Poland. Her name is Anna. We walked through the streets and had some food with a local that we met. Then we walked to the "Russian markets". The markets are very big and very cramped and you can get everything from shoes to all different kind of foods to things carved out of wood. The markets were a great experience. I tried a lot of different kinds of street food and also got some sugar cane juice from a nice old lady at the side of the road.
Today some of my friends from the program arrieved as well. I chose to check out of the hostel earlier and move to the hotel organized by the organization. It's nice to see my friends and we are already planning for a few things to explore tomorrow.

This is one of the poor housing I saw on the streets. These very basic houses sometimes stand next to luxurious homes. A view that surprised my.

This is my friend Anna and the local we meet at the cafe. When we had some food for breakfast, he sat down at our tables and talked a little bit to us. It turns out, his adoptive mother was Australian but he has never been to Australia himself. His English was really good and he told us that he is working for a construction company.

This is where I got the sugar cane juice on our way to the markets. The old lady was really really nice. She did not speak any Engish but somehow basic communication was possible. She was minding her store together with her daughter and grand daughter. They were all very nice and happy people.
