Day 35

Today was my first day at the new hospital in Battambang. They have a really nice workshop here, with lots of broken equipment. The equipment is partially bejond repair. The room it is stored in looks like an equipment graveyard. When we are working on the equipment, we have an old technichian from the hospital staying with us. He is very nice and it feels good to have some company . He also has a lot of experience with the equipment and has showed us a few things.

The boys already fixed a few machines before I got here. Today we were wokring on a centrifuge, and ECG and an oxygen concentrator. The oxygen concentrtor was still working prefectly. It turns out that some of the equipment still works but because the nurses don't know how to use it or don't want to use it, it gets labled broken and put into a storage room. We'll try returning the machine and maybe research how to use it.
